Mangabeira Shopping, Joao Pessoa – Now Open

December 1 2014

With over 200 stores operating over 112,000m², the new Mangabeira shopping centre in João Pessoa opened its doors to 5,000 excited guests on Sunday morning (30th November).

Now the second largest Shopping Mall in Paraiba, Mangabeira saw 60% of its stores open to the public with many offering discounts of up to 50% on laptops and mobile phones in preparation for the busy Christmas period.

Of the 212 stores contained within, 15 of its 17 large (anchor) stores are now open with the remaining opening gradually throughout Christmas and the New Year.

The mall is located in the densely populated area of João Pessoa and has achieved rapid acceptance with the local community. The malls entrepreneur’s Roberto Santiago and Alberto Vanderley expect the new mall to give pace to the south of João Pessoa providing more than 4,500 direct and indirect jobs and achieving an investment into the project of over $200 million.

With a diverse mix of stores and major brands desired by the public, Mangabeira sets itself apart from the main stream market in many ways. The architectural design provides the mall with a ceiling height of 6.5 meters and 8.1 meters at the front of the store allowing for large glass panes to provide bright and airy spaces.

The mall also utilises the latest in equipment and systems with fully programmable climate and lighting.

The interior has exceptional design features including a glass ‘Domus’ achieving the desired advantages of natural light and beauty, giving the space sophistication and refinement.

The ‘Waterspout’ in the entrance hall has been engineered as part of the roof which falls towards the ground like a beautiful cyclone that captures rainwater.

In addition, the Mangabeira Shopping has several entertainment venues and leisure facilities which include two playgrounds (one of them electronic) a Game Station, a Bowling Alley with seven lanes, a six theatre Cinema, a wide food court and a space for convenience stores situated in the venture underground.

Being only a short trip away from our Tambaba Country Club Resort and Pueblo Do Mar  Developments in João Pessoa, residents of these fantastic Condominiums will no doubt be able to take advantage of this fantastic shopping experience and demand within the area will also see an increase in property prices if residents were to sell.
